Well we finally got to Newfoundland and spent a couple of days in St. John's. No wild life there except Georges Street:) We headed out to Cape Saint Mary's to see the Gannet colony. Wednesday was pretty foggy, but Thursday morning was looking better. This shot was pretty early.
as the day got a little brighter we were able to get some better shots.
I was amazed to find this Juvenile that had already fledged with so many chicks still on the island that were nothing but fluff.
After awhile you could figure out the flight patternes and improve the opportunity for a quality shot.
They are quite large birds with a terrific head and bill structure, with a great eye:)
We headed out at about 7:30, would have loved to have stuck around but we had to get up to Port Rexton for our next stop. I'm hoping to get some Puffin shots up there this afternoon.
Will post again soon,
