The morning was lookingpretty good and the puppy needed some exercise, so we headed down to the tracks for a stroll. First up was this cheerful and cooperative Black-and-White Warbler.
Next up I was watching this little blue butterfly wondering where it was going to land. When it decided on this rock, it was soon joined by this other fly.
Now that I know what to listen for, I was able to hear and find this little Oven Bird.
Not much further along we heard the drumming of a close by Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. It took a little time but I spotted him in a tree. Not much yellow on this sweetie.
On the way home this Least Flycatcher put in an appearance. The little bird was tough to get out in the open.
Returning home it was nice to see another female Hummer at the feeders. I am hoping for a couple of broods.
A quick little stroll with some great results. Be sure to put some "wild" in your life!
